Payments firm Stripe partners with Chilling Effects to track take-down notices

Financial information

Online payments firm Stripe is partnering with Chilling Effects, a service that monitors information take-down requests from third parties. Stripe is the first payments company to report such requests, which would likely entail requests for a user’s personal or financial information from governments or other authorities. The likes of Google and Twitter already report government requests for user data, in a bid to boost consumer trust and transparency.
