PayPal is appointing Lawrence Chan as its VP, Asia Pacific New Ventures. Chan will be based in Singapore, leading the regional business strategy, sale, partnerships and merchant adoption of PayPal’s latest payment innovations in an attempt to transform commerce, from mobile to digital goods to PayPal Here. He will also be responsible for developing PayPal into an online and mobile payments leader.
Prior to joining PayPal, Chan spent ten years at American Express International in various regional and international leadership posts, most recently, as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Payment Option (Asia, Europe & Africa).
