Cellum integrates mobile payments solution into Passbook

Bank cards to be used via Passbook for m-payments

Cellum, a Hungarian mobile payments applications developer, is integrating its mobile payments solution into Apple’s Passbook. Passbook is the new application built into Apple’s iOS6 mobile operating system, which can be used to store and organise a user’s passes, such as boarding passes, store cards, gift cards and coupons.

Cellums’s new solution will enable bank cards to be used via Passbook for mobile payments. This means that iPhone users will be able to integrate their bank cards into their passbook system and then use those bank cards for purchasing.

The deal follows McDonald’s decision to integrate its mobile payments app into Passbook.
