Utiba’s mobile wallet solution utilised by Bolivian bank

Utiba, provider of mobile financial services solutions, has been selected by Banco FIE, a Bolivian micro-finance institution, to provide the platform for its mobile wallet. The m-wallet will be used to expand banking services to the financial underserved communities which Banco FIE assists. Utiba will provide Banco FIE with mobile financial services platform that will allow it to deploy a full range of mobile financial services, which will be rolled out gradually.

Utiba’s platform has been deployed in around 30 countries worldwide, mainly by mobile network operators, financial institutions and third party payment service providers looking to provide financial services to the unbanked – an estimated 2.5 billion people worldwide.
