Groupon acquires payments firm CommerceInterface

Buying CommerceInterface

Groupon is buying online payments and business management company CommerceInterface in an undisclosed deal according to StrategyEye.

CommerceInterface operates a web-based service that is aimed at letting users such as manufactures and retailers sell products and handle their businesses online. Groupon has been using the firm’s technology since April last year. Groupon Goods chief Faisal Masud says the firm will continue using the service to support overseas merchant partners by streamlining ordering processes.
