A local taxi company has integrated Cyclos with their GPS system which makes it now possible to pay the ride by sending a text message to the short number of the taxi company.

In the past it was common in Montevideo that taxi payments were paid with vouchers. This outdated process has now been replaced. After the payment the confirmation will show up at the GPS screen of the Taxi. Users of the taxi company can view the payments, either via web or by sending an SMS message.
