Digital River appoints Marco Vergani as General Manager and Vice President of EMEA

Digital River has announced it has appointed Marco Vergani as its general manager and vice president of EMEA to oversee sales, marketing and operations in the region.

Vergani joins Digital River from IBM, where he built a 25-year career developing and managing pan-European sales operations. Based in Digital River’s London office, Vergani will manage the company’s operations in the following countries: Austria, England, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Russia and Sweden.

“Marco has an extensive track record of successfully managing complex global account opportunities, and coordinating legal, solution, delivery and pricing teams in the IT, software and outsourcing services industries,” said David Dobson, Digital River’s chief executive officer. “His international experience paired with his customer centric approach to business development will be valuable assets as we bring even more focus to our expansion strategies in the EMEA region.”
