Park Sterling Bank has announced that it has released the latest version of its mobile banking app. Working with mobile app developer Malauzai Software, Park Sterling Bank can now offer its customers the Picture Pay solution and Debit Card Management.
Picture Pay enables customers using Park Sterling’s mobile banking app to complete a bill payment in three steps:
1). Take a photo of the bill statement
2). Confirm the amount to be paid
3). Submit the payment to the financial institution
The bank has also introduced Debit Card On/Off, a portion of Debit Card Management that allows customers to turn their bank-issued debit card on and off with the swipe of a finger. If desired, a Park Sterling mobile user can temporarily deactivate their card between transactions, significantly decreasing the chances of fraud.
“Consumers now expect their bank to be available 24/7/365 and our mobile banking app allows Park Sterling to fulfill that expectation,” said Jim Cherry, CEO of Park Sterling. “Picture Pay and Debit On/Off both offer unparalleled convenience to our account holders, while maintaining high security levels, and are just the latest in a long line of advanced mobile functionalities enjoyed by account holders. Park Sterling seeks to be on the cutting edge of banking technology in order to better serve our community. Mobile banking lets us be bigger than our physical footprint by putting our bank in customers’ pockets.”
