Lázaro Campos, the former CEO of SWIFT, has joined Payoneer’s Advisory Board.
“We are thrilled to be able to add an industry leader as credentialed as Lazaro to our Advisory Board,” said Scott Galit, CEO of Payoneer. “His vast experience in cross-border payments and global business expertise are unique, and his input will be instrumental as we continue growing the company.”
Mr. Campos spent 25 years with SWIFT, including five as CEO. Under his leadership the company nearly doubled volume while maintaining a high standard of operational performance. He will work with Payoneer management as it accelerates development of new products and services in support of its growing global customer base. Mr. Campos is joining Payoneer at a critical time: Payoneer recently completed a Series D financing round of $25 million, and was selected by Google as a payment partner for Google Trusted Stores.
“I am excited to work with the Payoneer team to empower more businesses around the world by improving the way they pay and get paid for cross-border commercial activity,” said Campos. “This is a vast market with extensive inefficiencies, and Payoneer is filling a large and growing need for simple, cost-effective global payments.”
