Telly partners with SLA Mobile to bring direct operator billing to its customers

Telly has announced a partnership with SLA Mobile in order to help them monetise their network and data assets.

Telly’s partnership with SLA Mobile allows Telly Plus subscribers to securely purchase video-on-demand content using direct operator billing via their mobile phones.  Direct operator billing is also known as Carrier Billing and it enables users to pay for digital goods by charging the transaction to their mobile phone monthly bill or using their pre-paid credit.

Mo Al Adham CEO of Telly added, “We are excited to be working with SLA Mobile as our mobile payments solutions provider.  SLA Mobile’s connections with global mobile operators such as Zain Group provide us with the ability to connect to millions of mobile subscribers in the Middle East and Africa. We are initially launching the service with Zain Kuwait and will be expanding its reach within the next few months. The mobile payment service will make it even easier for consumers to access Telly’s full range of content offerings through a subscription-based plan on their mobile device.”

Nic Stirk, CEO at SLA Mobile commented, “SLA Mobile has seen considerable growth in demand from companies like Telly who are seeking a simple and secure mobile payment solution for their customers. Our partnership with Telly is focused on working with their team to develop initiatives to support their business and expand their offerings, and Direct Operator Billing is just one of the innovative API services we can provide through our API Management platform.  Our platform is designed to help companies improve their competitiveness and increase customer loyalty and retention, and we see considerable opportunities to launch creative new services in partnership with Telly in the months ahead.
