SLA Mobile has announced a partnership with Infobip to bring Direct Operator Billing (DOB) to Zain subscribers.
In this partnership, SLA Mobile will provide a managed service solutions to mobile operators, helping them monetise network and data assets. Zain Group has already introduced DOB capabilities; Infobip will now connect Zain users with its digital and virtual goods merchants through DOB.
DOB allows purchases of digital and virtual goods to be charged directly to the mobile bill of the user, without the need for a credit card or a bank account. This is a convenient payment method is seeing rapid growth among many smart phone users.
