Speed Commerce customises Mexican home improvement

Speed Commerce, Inc, an omni-channel e-commerce services provider, has launched a customised e-commerce solution for Lowe’s Companies, Inc, the world´s second-largest home improvement retailer, to support its operations in Mexico.

As a result, consumers in the Monterrey, Nuevo Leon area of Mexico will be able to shop 5,000 Lowe’s Mexico items conveniently online (www.Lowes.com.mx), and can pick up their purchase in the store or have it shipped to their home. The site will continue to expand items and geographical presence in the near future.

This e-commerce platform includes an omni-channel order management system which allows Lowe’s to ship to stores, ship from stores and pick-up in stores, as well as to ship from fulfillment centers or by drop shipping.

“E-commerce expansion is a key element in Lowe’s international growth strategy,” said Doug Robinson, Lowe’s Head of International Operations and Development. “As we continue to grow internationally, country-specific sites like the one developed by Speed Commerce for our operations in Mexico help us continue to provide locally relevant experiences for consumers.”
