First Data Merchant Solutions Macau, First Data’s direct-to-market merchant acquiring business in Macau has partnered with and Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU) to provide payment solutions for merchants in the country.
The agreement allows FDMS to work through the Macau bank to provide full service acquiring and processing capabilities for Macau merchants, including point-of-sale and e-commerce services.
FDMS has worked in the Asia-Pacific region for some time. Now Macau merchants will gain access to regional payments network, allowing them to focus on the success of their business.
The alliance comes at a time when with rapid growth in its retail and tourism industries, FDMS and BNU see merchants in Macau increasingly demand more efficient payment solutions to provide enhanced customer payment experiences and engagement.
“Our alliance with BNU bank highlights our commitment to servicing the growing market of Macau,” said Ravi Pochiraju, general manager of FDMS. “Macau SAR sees 30 million visitors yearly and FDMS is well positioned to help merchants in tourism, retail and hospitality better serve these visitors with our suite of innovative products and solutions and global payment expertise.”
