Fiserv names new president of digital banking solutions

Fiserv has named Marc West as president of its Digital Channels business, where he will oversee strategy, product management and marketing for a range of the company’s digital banking solutions.

West was previously senior vice president of banking and aggregation for Electronic Payments at Fiserv. During this time he oversaw the development and delivery of money movement products, including the Popmoney® personal payments service, as well as account aggregation tools.

“As online, mobile and tablet banking have emerged as the preferred ways, and, in many cases, the only ways, consumers manage their financial lives, digital banking services have become mission critical for financial institutions,” said Kevin Schultz, group president, Payments and Channels, Fiserv. “Marc’s experience in both consumer and financial services businesses will be instrumental as we continue to deliver solutions that enable our financial institution clients to provide the distinctive digital banking experiences consumers value.”

Before joining Fiserv in 2013, West was the president and CEO at Mamasource, an e-commerce platform focused on moms, where he focused on business growth and strategic partnerships. He has also served as managing director of e-Business at Barclays Global Investors, and has held senior leadership positions at H&R Block and Electronic Arts. In addition to launching and selling his own start-up, West has served as the technical and business advisor to numerous technical start-ups and as the CTO for several large, online trading platforms – bringing leading-edge technology to market in a fast-paced environment.

West holds a master’s degree from Golden Gate University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.
