Earthport, a cross-border payments service provider, has strengthened its board with the addition of Sajeev Viswanathan, president of the company’s global strategy.
Sajeev spent over 18 years with Citigroup as managing director of the company’s global transaction services and in other leadership roles. More recently Sajeev acted as managing director and CEO of the microfinance company Bhartiya Samruddhi Financial Services Ltd. (BASIX) and served on the board of micro payments company BASIX Sub-K iTransactions.
Sajeev joined Earthport in June 2014 as president of global strategy to manage Earthport’s international growth reporting to Hank Uberoi, Chief Executive Officer.
“With his background, experience and detailed understanding of the cross-border payments world, we’re really pleased to have Sajeev on board,” Uberoi said. “Under Sajeev’s leadership we are accelerating Earthport’s growth to further serve the needs of our global clients.”
Sajeev currently splits his time between Bangalore and London.
