Sneak Peak: Kopo Kopo to reveal latest merchant insights at #MWC15

Kopo Kopo will reveal its latest merchant insights – and 2015 predictions – at Mobile World Congress this year in Barcelona.

Founded in 2010, Kopo Kopo’s technology platform now powers the largest independent merchant network in the mobile money industry, serving thousands of merchants throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.

Dylan Higgins, CEO of Kopo Kopo, said: “We spent years fine-tuning every step and pixel of the merchant journey and have gained unparalleled insights along the way. For example, what business application leads to a 28% increase in transactions within 3 months, and what suite of applications lead to a 10x increase in revenue?”

Kopo Kopo will be presenting on two panels:

  • Scaling Mobile Enabled Businesses. Monday March 2nd from 14:00 to 15:10 in GSMA Seminar Theatre CC1.1. Dylan Higgins, CEO.
  • Mobile Money in Emerging Markets: From Domestic Remittances to Ubiquitous Payment System. Thursday March 5th from 14:30 to 16:00 in Hall 4, Auditorium 3. Ben Lyon, Vice President of Marketing.

Kopo Kopo will also be demoing its merchant-facing Android application in the Connected City from March 2nd – March 5th.

Higgins continued: “We’re seeing a groundswell of interest in merchant payments across the mobile money industry, but payments alone are not the long-term answer. We envision a world in which merchants manage their businesses from a single screen, whether engaging customers, paying suppliers, or accessing loan facilities.

“That’s what the arc of the industry is curving toward – and 2015 will be a transformative year.”
