Powa Technologies and POS Strauss aim to improve tablet POS technology

Powa Technologies have today announced a new partnership with POS Strauss, a move that will give European merchants greater use of tablet based point of sale (POS) technology.

The collaboration between the two companies will give POS Strauss, a leading Spanish-based POS software firm access to the PowaPOS retail payments platform.

Included in PowaPOS, which was the first point of sale platform purpose built for tablet-based payments, is a built in thermal printer, 2D QR/barcode scanner, orientation sensor and an optional PowaPOS Cash Drawer. These features are specifically designed to assist small and medium sized merchants across Europe.

‘‘Our partnership with PowaPOS perfectly positions us to meet the growing demand for all-in-one tablet POS solutions from merchants across all retail sectors in Europe,” said Daniel Garcia Howard, CEO of POS Stratus.

Supported by iOS and Android, the PowaPOS service will allow merchants to take advantage of the cloud. The cloud-based solution gives retailers access to payments and inventory management, as well as employee administration, analytics and QuickBooks integration.

‘‘POS Stratus and Powa share a similar vision: create a POS solution that is both advanced and also accessible across operating systems. For this reason, we’re excited about the potential to expand adoption of tablet POS in Europe together,” said Frank Landen, SVP and GM, EMEA, Powa POS
