SafeCharge announces a partnership with 2C2P

SafeCharge has announced a strategic partnership with South-East Asia payments service provider, 2C2P and has completed a minority investment in the company.

The partnership will allow 2C2P merchants to use SafeCharge’s technology products. The merchants will be mainly be South-East Asian retailers and travel businesses. SafeCharge has also completed a minority investment in 2C2P.

“Asia Pacific continues to be a key focus area for SafeCharge and is a central part of management’s long term strategic vision. We expect to see significant growth for SafeCharge coming from the fast growing e-commerce markets in the Asian region,” said David Avgi, CEO of SafeCharge

SafeCharge will now be able to extend its international payments processing to Asian merchants by connecting its payments platform with 2C2P.

It is no surprise that 2C2P has become a very appealing partner for global payments providers with an eye on entering the Asian markets. 2C2P claim to have processed over $2.2 billion in payments, and last week the company announced that it will use the  $7m raised in Series C funding to continue its Asian expansion and product development.

“Europe has traditionally served as a leading fintech and payments hub. With their global insights and knowledge around key financial verticals, including payments, e-commerce and capital markets, SafeCharge brings valuable insights to 2C2P, helping us apply these to an Asian context,” said Aung Kyaw Moe, Group CEO of 2C2P.
