Eduardo Coello, a 15-year veteran of the payments company, has been appointed as the new group executive for the Latin American and Caribbean region. He will be responsible for all of Visa’s operations in the region including regional business development and client relationship management with financial institutions, merchants, and partners.
The appointment starts from 1st September and Coello will report to Ryan McInerney, President of Visa Inc.
“With his deep knowledge of the region, strong client relationships, proven industry expertise, and passion for innovation, he is the right leader to grow the business,” said Eduardo Eraña, current Group Executive for Visa Inc. LAC.
Coello has served as Group Country Manager for the Greater Latin America and Caribbean (GLAC) region, at Visa, since 2013. Prior to this he held several leadership positions including Country Manager for Visa’s Mexico operations.
