Payveris hires Ted Chaney to lead Strategic Partner Channel

Ted Chayney, a payments veteran with more than 15 years’ experience within the sector, has joined cloud-based solutions firm Payveris as svp, Strategic Alliances. Chayney is looking to expand the group’s partnership channels and advance its alliance strategy.

Increasing partnerships

Payveris helps US banks and credit unions stay on top of the digital payments sector by providing them with cloud-based, open API, extensible digital tools.

The group specialises in providing bill payment and management, P2P money movement, business to business, and interbank transfer solutions from a single platform.

Looking to increase its partnerships within the sector, Payveris has hired an experienced leader who has worked in development roles across notable payment companies such as Securenet (now known as Worldpay), Visa and CheckFree (now part of Fiserv).

During his time at Fiserv, he managed the Electronic Billing and Payment (EBP) partner channel of Value Added Resellers representing over 2,500 financial institutions, so brings with him a wealth of experience within the payments industry.

Payveris has already begun making a number of strategic partnerships.

In August, Payment Eye brought to you the news that the firm has joined forces Infosys Finacle, a financial solutions firm based in California. The two firms aim to serve credit unions and community banks throughout the United States. Payveris execs hope that Chayney can continue this good work.

‘Valuable industry experience’

‘‘We’re very excited to have Ted join us,’’ said Marcell King, chief revenue officer for Payveris.

‘‘As we continue to round out our organization, we are pleased to bring another industry veteran on to the Payveris team. The valuable industry experience and key relationships that Ted has developed over the years will be critical as we continue our rapid growth and evolve our payment focused offerings within the industry.’’

Chayney commented on his appointment, stating that his new company is working hard to help banks and credit unions compete with industry disruptors.

‘‘I look forward to becoming an integral part of the Payveris team of dedicated professionals and using my experience to contribute to the company’s future success and efforts to transform the digital payments industry.’’
