Cred appoints CFO and general counsel

US-based crypto lending and borrowing platform Cred has appointed Joe Podulka as its new CFO and Dan Wheeler as general counsel. Podulka has previously worked in a variety of roles at eBay/PayPal for eleven years, both in the US and abroad. He has extensive experience in broad finance and analytics gained from his roles as the CFO, VP finance at Hearst Communications. Wheeler was previously a partner at international law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner. He was also chairman of the Financial Institutions Committee of the California State Bar and the president of the San Francisco Bank Attorneys Association.

Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne resigns

US-based cryptocurrency-related e-commerce retail firm Overstock announced that long-term CEO and founder Patrick Byrne resigned on August 22. The company has appointed chairman Jonathan Johnson to serve as interim CEO.

Vocalink appoints new CEO

Vocalink has announced the appointment of former managing director Gregor Dobbie as new CEO. Dobbie will be overseeing the expansion of B2B payment services. He will join the management committee of Mastercard’s New Payment Platforms (NPP) and will be answerable to its president, Paul Stoddart. Dobbie’s stint at Vocalink started in 2014 as director of sales and business development and was then promoted to the position of managing director in 2015. He has previously worked with Glory Global Solutions.

Oaknorth appoints new CTO, COO

UK-based credit platform provider OakNorth has appointed Jackson Hull as new CTO and COO. Hull will be in charge of OakNorth’s technical infrastructure and product program, its product and engineering teams, and also the compliance and infrastructure teams with the pre- and post-sales tech support. Hull has 15 years of C-suite experience in London and San Francisco. He has managed large technological teams at a global level, including China, Singapore, India, Ukraine and Europe.

Justin Ferrabee named CEO of Mazooma

Las Vegas-based payments technology company Mazooma has announced the appointment of Justin Ferrabee as its chief executive officer. Ferrabee has extensive experience in the payment ecosystem. He was the chief operating officer for Payments Canada.

OakNorth appointed chief of staff and director of product

UK-based next-generation credit platform OakNorth announced the appointment of Tiffany Teng as its chief of staff and Jeremy Payne as the director of product. Teng was a part of JPMorgan Chase where she worked on the launch of several products including Chase Pay and the redesigned web platform behind chase.com. Payne was associated with companies such as, JP Morgan, S&P Global Market Intelligence, Blackstone LP and Bloomberg.
