JDC MOVES POS NETWORK TO INNOVATIVE NEW TNS PAYMENTS SOLUTION

April 19, 2016 – Independent French ISO JDC has migrated its 50,000 strong IP and wireless point-of-sale (POS) terminal estate to TNS and will use TNS’ innovative new TNSPay Access solution which has recently been launched.

TNSPay Access provides secure access management and activity reporting, including mutual authentication enrolment and revocation maintenance for terminals. TNSPay Access will enable JDC to ensure compliance with Cartes Bancaires’ CEP specification, as well as Ingenico’s InitSSL for X509 and Verifone’s VX675 certificate management.

Alexandra Ganzenmuller, Directrice de la Division Monétique at JDC, said: “We are delighted to have migrated our extensive nationwide POS network to TNS. The TNSPay Access solution will make it easier to manage our terminals, streamline our authentication processes and enhance the security of our estate.

“We selected TNS because of their expertise, knowledgeable team and competitive price. They have also been a trusted partner to us for a couple of years now, providing an exceptional roaming SIM solution, called Global Wireless Access, which has helped improve the wireless coverage and service we offer to our mobile POS terminal customers.

“TNS’ flexibility was also key. The development and technical teams worked closely together to devise a smooth migration path which ensured an efficient transition.”

TNSPay Access provides an online portal which ensures full visibility into the terminal network, including the tracking of transactions. This enables merchants to detect, suspend and deactivate terminals, as well as gather data specific to individual terminal usage and performance.

David Campoy, Vice President of Sales at TNS, said: “Thanks to our close relationship with JDC, TNSPay Access has been enhanced to address the exact needs of the payments industry in France. Terminal enrolment gives rise to both time and cost savings because once enrolled a unique certificate is allocated to each terminal and this can be used for all future actions. Access control functionality also allows whitelisting for legacy devices that only support simple server authentication.”

TNS has designed its database to enable POS terminal estate owners to enhance the level of information monitored.

Mr Campoy added: “We have included features that allow customers to manage their installed base more effectively, including additional database fields which can be personalised. These fields can be populated with private business information which is of specific importance. We also have a range of flexible subscription plans to help reduce the overall cost of authentication management to the level appropriate to their usage.

“These enhanced functionalities together with our latest commercial successes and additional services, such as TNSLink, Tokenisation and Managed POS Encryption, confirm TNS’ position as a leader in France, as well as across the region.’’

TNS is continuing to enhance TNSPay Access and expects to introduce a number of additional features over the coming months, including authentication based on past declaration rather than certificate, blacklisting and revocation of certificates and enrolments. Further management information relating to batch transactions will also be available.

TNS is a Level 1 PCI DSS certified service provider and its secure network is supported 24x7x365 by TNS’ Network Operating Centres around the world.

With a strong payments heritage and more than 25 years of expertise, TNS now provides services in more than 60 countries across Europe, the Americas and the Asia Pacific regions. For more information about TNS, please visit www.tnsi.com
