Alex Hammond

Alex Hammond is the managing editor of the digital finance portfolio of Contentive, which includes bobsguide, GTNews and PaymentEye. An avid journalist and editor, he writes industry analysis articles and conducts exclusive interviews with senior industry figures across all titles, in addition to commissioning all thought leadership content and representing the media brands at industry events.

Alex has a wealth of experience in B2B editorial, including covering the FX trading and financial spread betting industries. In his last role he was head of content at the gambling industry’s premier B2B publishing house. He graduated from the University of Bristol with an LLB in Law in 2009, away from the office his passions include playing golf and horseracing.

Aran Brown

Aran Brown is Managing Director of Europe at Hyperwallet, a leading global payouts provider for marketplaces that pay independent workers, sellers, and distributors. A payments industry veteran, Aran has more than a decade of experience in senior roles with FC Exchange, Western Union Business Solutions, and Skrill, among others.

Alara Basul

Alara Basul is the digital finance reporter for PaymentEye and its sister websites bobsguide and GTNews. She has previous experience in both online editorial and print magazines, as well as working as a news presenter focusing on current global events.
Alara studied at Syracuse University in New York before beginning her career in journalism.

Jonathan Attwood

Fospha CEO Jonathan Attwood has over 20 years’ experience working with a number of major retail businesses in both the UK and in Silicon Valley in the US.

Jonathan was in charge of Fospha’s acquisition of iJento earlier this year in March and has since streamlined the company focus towards customer journey optimisation by analysing client’s forms and funnels.

Lucy England

Lucy is the editor of PaymentEye. She graduated from Cardiff University with a BA in English Literature in 2012 and has since built up extensive experience writing across a number of online platforms. She returned to Cardiff to complete an MA in International Journalism in 2013 before joining PaymentEye.

Lindsey Kennedy

Lindsey is the deputy editor of PaymentEye. She graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2009 with a BA in English. She has extensive experience in video, print and online across a range of publications, including interviewing C-level management at some of the world’s most influential organisations. She has also been creative director of an award-winning production company and runs her own media company.

Matthew Thoma

Matthew Thoma is a journalist and editor for PaymentEye. He undertook a Creative and Digital Media apprenticeship after finishing Sixth Form and has since built up a wealth of experience writing across a number of publishing portals.

Katy Menczer

Katy Menczer is PaymentEye's Managing Editor. Following the completion of a BA and MA at the University of East Anglia, she gained a PhD in English Literature at Queen Mary, University of London in 2006. She has extensive experience of online writing, editing and publishing, and has successfully launched and managed numerous news and intelligence websites across multiple industry sectors.

Jon Hulme

Jon Hulme holds an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid and a Master’s Degree in engineering from the University of Nottingham. He is Managing Director of Contentive, the publisher of PaymentEye.
