GSM Association (GSMA) is a UK based global trade association, representing more than 690 GSM mobile phone operators across 213 territories and countries. The association is supported by 160 manufacturers and suppliers, which serve more than 1.7 billion global customers.
GSMA's work is focused on emerging services and emerging markets. GSMA helps its members to develop and launch new services, which work across networks on a global scale. GSMA also engages in activities to extend basic voice and text services in emerging economies. GSMA's board comprises representatives from mobile operators such as: Cingular Wireless, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone.
