FinTECHTalents is the ultimate fintech festival offering two days of innovation, collaboration, live tech demos, music & craft beer – and is being held at Here East, London for its inaugural edition.

As the only fintech festival in the UK, FinTECHTalents has disrupted the market creating an opportunity for the entire fintech ecosystem to convene under one roof. With over 2,000 attendees, FinTECHTalents will connect tech start-ups, financial institutions and academia in a unique setting.

With an innovative and unique conference programme, a live music stage and structured networking opportunities, FinTECHTalents offers an unbeatable two days of inspiring content and conversation in London’s thriving tech hub – Here East.

During the three-stream conference, delegates will hear from 100+ fintech speakers and thought-leaders, and will explore how tech macro trends are changing product development and distribution across the sector.

On Day One festival goers will enter Today – an examination of themes the industry is dealing with right now - in real time. On Day Two guests enter Tomorrow where they will experience the technological and cultural changes, as well as meet the future leaders of fintech, which will impact the financial services industry for decades to come. As FinTECHTalents 2018 draws to a close our community will leave the knowledge, insights and contacts to enter Beyond and continue shaping the Fintech industry of the future.

Liz Lumley, Director of Content & Fintech Ecosystem for FinTECHTalents, explains, ‘We created the festival to help financial institutions source the hottest tech solutions in the financial services space as well as find a solution to the growing talent gap in UK fintech. Over the two days, technologists can connect with 100+ early/growth stage fintechs & engage tech talent from UK’s university computer science programmes.’

‘With UK fintech facing a tech skills gap of over 670,000 placements and £361m expected revenue deficit by 2020, it is imperative that organisations can take proactive action now to maintain their positions in a fast changing and highly competitive market by supporting the development of a suitably skilled talent pipeline for the industry.’

The Steering Committee has been instrumental in developing the conference programme and comprises 35 fintech leaders and influencers including Diana Biggs, Head of Digital Innovation, HSBC Retail Banking and Wealth Management, UK & Europe, Pol Navarro, Digital Innovation & Transformation Director, TSB Bank and Mitesh Soni, Senior Director, Innovation and Fintech, Finastra, FusionFabric.cloud among others.

Additional speakers confirmed include Technology Evangelist and UK Government Strategic Advisor Dr Sue Black OBE; Claire Calmejane, CIO, Société Générale; Ceri Godwin, CIO, Santander UK; Kirsty Rutter, CIO UK, Barclays and Joerg Guenther, CIO, Northern Trust.

The festival has already met with an overwhelmingly supportive response across the sector, with sponsors on board including Finastra, Pluralsight, TSB, Travelex, Capita, and Rand Merchant Bank; and partnerships with over 25 universities and education providers from across the UK. FinTECHTalents is the only event that brings together the full ecosystem: tech and talent moving in tandem.
