As we enter the autumn months and leave the heatwaves of summer behind us, new research suggests that one area of payments is going to get hotter and hotter. According to Juniper Research, purchases made in-app and on websites via what it’s calling ‘OS-Pay’ (operating system pay) platforms will hit $8bn annually by 2018, a figure that is 15 times higher than the $540m estimated for this year.
