Paym was created out of Payments Council’s commitment to deliver innovation in payments. The service allows its customers to make secure payments to account holders of other participating banks or building societies using their mobile number. It keeps customer account details safe by using a mobile phone number as a substitute. At present, customers of sixteen bank and building society brands in the UK are able to make fast and secure payments thanks to Paym.
