GramercyOne, a developer of cloud-based business management software for the service sector, has landed USD14.5m in a Series A funding round led by Revolution Ventures. Grotech Ventures, Jubilee Investments and TDF filled out the round, and the proceeds will be used to accelerate the startup’s growth and expand its product line while hiring new talent. As part of the deal, Revolution president Tige Savage and Grotech partner Don Rainey will both join the company’s board.
“GramercyOne allows the e-commerce revolution to move from the sale of products to the sale of services,” says Savage. “The company’s leading applications finally make it as easy to purchase and schedule a service appointment online as it is to purchase a song or a book online.” The firm combines booking systems with mobile payment processing and integrated social media marketing and CRM tools, attracting small- and medium-sized customers such as local spas and salons, as well as international clients such as Hilton Worldwide.
