Mobile marketing firm Proximus Mobility has raised USD2m in new funding from undisclosed investors. The Atlanta-based firm serves targeted ads based on users’ locations, which are thought to be potentially more effective and relevant than standard mobile ads. “Retailers, brands and consumer destinations are looking for ways to reach consumers with quantifiable solutions when they are most receptive to their message and likely to act because of its relevance,” says CEO Michael Zeto. The new cash will be used to fund the firm’s move from Florida and to hire more staff.
