Fan-to-fan online ticket marketplace Seatwave is launching an iOS software development kit (SDK), hoping to increase its traction amongst iPhone apps that point users towards live events. The SDK will allow developers to monetise such apps through Seatwave’s ticket service, with those developers earning up to 35% of the net revenue on each ticket sale. Seatwave’s first partners for the app include radio apps such as What’s On Air, and music discovery apps such as Music DNA ID.
Seatwave already has its own iPhone app, but hopes that allowing users to purchase tickets from third-party sites will boost sales.
