TAGSYS, a provider of item-level RFID infrastructure, and Think&Go, a Near Field Communication (NFC) firm, today announced that they have joined forces to become the first integrated RFID/NFC solution for deploying all-in-one RFID infrastructure.
The partnership comes as a result of a series of projects in which the two companies collaborated to extend the use of RFID item-level tracking beyond inventory and security management to benefit consumers with NFC-enabled smartphones by enabling them to access personalised information and services in-store. Brands and Retailers also benefit from this added service as it opens up new channels such as marketing, couponing and alerting, through which to offer extended product information to consumers.
