
Entertainment software and technology company, Valve, has extended its existing partnership with local e-payments service provider GlobalCollect to process all online payments worldwide for its online gaming platform, Steam.
GlobalCollect processes Valve’s online payment transactions via all major credit cards, local debit cards, eWallets, pre-paid cards, and real-time banking products in a variety of currencies.
Valve extended the partnership following the past 4 years of collaboration, where GlobalCollect has been effective in offering local payment methods in domestic currencies in the various countries the company has entered around the world which has helped in boosting sales and reducing fraud.
