KWI partners with VeriFone to create customer-centric shopping solution

The partnership, announced today, brings to market the KWI Cloud 9 Mobile POS, marking a shift towards cloud based technology within the retail industry.

The product, which features VeriFone GlobalBay technology, frees up retailers from being trapped behind traditional, plugged-in POS terminals, enabling them to approach customers in-store, bringing payment directly to the customer, reducing queues and therefore friction. Merchants can also carry out Customer Relationship Management, inventory and receiving functions anywhere in-store directly from the cloud.

Brighton Collectibles was the first to implement the KWI Cloud 9 in autumn 2011 and now plans to reduce the number of fixed POS in its stores to free up space for more merchandise and customer interaction.
