Near Field Communication (NFC) software and systems company, VIVOtech, today launched VIVOtouch, a new mobile marketing software platform. The platform enables retailers to connect with consumers in-store via their NFC enabled smartphones and send them personalised content, offers and loyalty programmes tailored to their interests, location or profile. Additionally, consumers can scan barcodes to pull up online product information, personalised offers and user ratings to their phones. Merchants can analyse what products and areas of the store are being scanned most to see what areas of the business are selling best.
VIVOtouch is triggered by the consumer on entering the store by waving his/her NFC enabled smart phone in front of the terminal. Other triggers include QR code scan, SMS short code, website-initiated opt-in and cellular or Wi-Fi triangulation.
