New mobile banking app
RBS and NatWest’s Business Banking app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch is now available for free download in the App Store. Business customers can use the application to track and monitor multiple accounts, check balances, view transaction history and make intra-account transfers. The app also has a function enabling the user to find out the address and opening times of the nearest RBS or NatWest branch. With regards to security, users need to be registered at the bank with online banking and unique pass codes are required to access accounts. The application provides customers with 24-hour access to their account information – “accessibility is a key feature we hear about in customer feedback,” comments Ed Hughes, head of mobile, business and commercial banking. The launch follows a five-year strategic agreement between RBS Technology Services and Monitise in August last year to expand mobile banking and payments services.
