UK provider of NFC m-commerce solutions Proxama is teaming up with ARM to develop a secure mobile payment solution. The partnership will integrate the Proxama Mobile Wallet with ARM TrustZone technology to create a secure environment for contactless NFC-enabled mobile payments and online mobile payments.
Managing Director of Proxama, Miles Quitmann comments that “better security brings better usability, making life easier for us all. We expect to announce our first collaborative prototypes in the coming few weeks.”
Proxama recently produced an introductory NFC contactless payment kit for MasterCard issuers demonstrating how contactless payments will be implemented. It is predicted that over $100 billion will be spent on global NFC payments by 2016.
