The eCommerce Payment Gateway will provide an electronic processing service to enable merchants to take online and electronic payments and enjoy enhanced services such as electronic reporting and automatic refunding. Currently, the partnership only provides credit card ePayment processing but there are plans to extend the portfolio to process other card types.
Adel Daylami, Batelco General Manager Enterprise Division, says “the partnership between the two giant entities in the banking and telecom sector will benefit both organisations and strengthen the brand equity of both partners as it will provide an enhanced economic payment gateway for merchants.” He also adds that the partnership is the beginning of many future joint campaigns.
