Extended Agreement
The extended agreement integrates MACH with Microsoft’s new commerce platform enabling operators to connect to the Microsoft Marketplace through MACH’s direct billing gateway (view press release). MACH will also provide direct operator billing services to Windows Phone users on TELSUS Canada’s network, enabling app payments directly through the subscriber’s phone bill. MACH’s direct billing gateway is designed to provide a more convenient billing method than credit cards, PSMS and WAP billing for buying apps and digital content.
Charles Damen, vice president of mobile billing and payment at MACH, comments that direct operator billing provides merchants and content providers “frictionless purchase, real time charging, flexible pricing points as well as direct refund capabilities…. delivering a high conversion rate to app stores and maximising revenues…”
