
Global Interoperability
The collaboration will make NXP’s NFC radio controller solutions compatible with Japan’s FeliCa compliant infrastructure for complete interoperability with the global infrastructure. The new solution will be compatible with application services worldwide and the first controller will be released in 2013. (view press release)
Jeff Miles, vice president of mobile transaction at NXP Semiconductors says “our co-operation with FeliCa networks creates interoperability in wireless communication protocol layer across all deployed infrastructure, including FeliCa ecosystem as well as countless services and infrastructures based on globally widespread MIFARE technology.”
