Quick Tap Treats
The service is the UK’s first contactless retail reward scheme and enables customers to redeem free, daily treats in 110 EAT stores nationwide (view press release). Treats are redeemed by tapping an NFC-enabled smartphone against NFC tags which feature on special posters in the store. An easy game is then played to win the treats which are instantly redeemable. Free treats range from size upgrades for items like soup to a free coffee or ham and cheese baguette. The game will also be available for download as the Quick Tap Treats App from app stores (Orange World, Blackberry, Android and OVI).
The new service will launch in early March and will run until summer (exact month not specified) this year.
