
Speeding up till processes
Easycash Loyalty Solutions, an Ingenico company, is launching a prepaid payment and contactless solution for Siemens restaurants in Germany (view press release). Customers and members of staff are now able to make contactless payments for their meals at many of the chain’s 250 tills using a prepaid card. Once implemented, the Siemens network of restaurants will provide 60 machines where customers can obtain a prepaid guest card upon payment of a deposit and 80 terminals where guests can top up their prepaid card using cash or credit/debit card. The system is currently operational in around 60 Siemens restaurants and is designed to speed up till processes by enabling customers can pay with a simple swipe of their prepaid card as opposed to digging out cash.
