More than twice as powerful
Guestlogix, an onboard payment technology provider for airlines and the travel industry, is launching XPDA-SP, an upgrade of its onboard handheld POS device, the XPDA-S (view press release). The upgraded version processes payments faster than its predecessor as it is more than twice as powerful according to Guestlogix. The terminal supports chip and PIN as well as contactless and NFC payments, and can process transactions in various currencies in the form of cash, credit, debit, loyalty cards and coupons.
“As airlines grow their onboard retailing programmes, the need to process transactions faster requires technology such as the new XPDA-SP to support this,” said Guestlogix president and CEO Tom Douramakos.
