Mobile payment app provider Kuapay scores $2 million

Mobile payments firm Kuapay has raised $2 million in funding from an undisclosed source. The company said it is in the midst of a $10 million funding round. Kuapay’s mobile apps run on iPhone, Android, and Blackberry, and allow users to make credit card purchases by linking with existing point of sale systems. The startup is headed by Joaquin Ayuso de Paul, one of the angel investors in Border Stylo, a co-founder of Spanish social network Tuenti.com.
