Find US+
US Bank employees are currently piloting the banks new Find US+ app for iPhone, which allows users to access digitally enhanced information to find the closest US Bank branch or ATM (view pressrelease). When the user points the phone in a certain direction, a computer generated graphic is displayed for each branch and ATM with its address, hours of operation and distance from the user’s GPS location and the best route to get there. Street view can also be utilised through the iPhone’s camera and provides all the aforementioned information plus digital animation when a branch or ATM is within sight. Colour coding communicates whether the branch is open, closing in an hour, or closed. Specific branches or ATMs can also be filtered for, such as ‘drive-up ATM only,’ or ‘open locations only.’
“In addition to making it easier to find branches and locations, this application sets the stage for US Bank to leverage its development efforts for future location-based experiences, including customized offers from our partners,” said chief innovation officer for US Bank Payment Services Dominic Venturo.
