The new solution is called Visa Pagos y Transferencias (payments and transfers) and it allows any mobile phone user to make payments and transfer funds directly from their mobile device. The service is available to all Visa cardholders, at any bank, across every mobile handset and network in the country, reports prensalibre.com. There will be two forms of carrying out a transaction depending on the type of mobile device owned – basic phones will be able to make transfers via the number *8472 whilst smartphone users will be able to download an app for iPhone, Android and Blackberry.
