Through the deal NetSecure’s mobile payment application will be branded to Pivotal Payments (view press release). In direct competition with Square and PayPal, the app enables merchants to swipe, authorise and settle credit card payments directly from a smartphone or tablet device running on iOS, Android or Blackberry. It operates in conjunction with an encrypted card swiper that connects into the mobile device’s audio port.
“We believe that payment mobility appeals to a large base of our existing and potential new customers and by partnering with NetSecure we can continually adapt to meet the growing needs of our marketplace,” said Phillip Fayer, President and CEO of Pivotal Payments.
The solution will be released in the Canada during Q2 of this year and subsequently in the US.
