Collect online purchases from local locations
Online retailer, ShopRunner, has acquired PickupZone, a firm that holds packages at collection points, for an undisclosed amount. The members-only shopping site that offers access to retailers including Toys “R” Us and American Eagle will now offer the chance to collect online purchases from local locations.
The integrated service will compete with Amazon Lockers, a project Amazon is currently trialling, which allows customers to collect online orders from secure lockers.
