The new card, called the LivingSocial Rewards Visa Card, will provide LivingSocial users with added value to purchases via redeemable benefits and offers (view press release). Through the service, cardholders earn points per transaction at the rate of 5 points per USD1 spent on Living Social purchases, 3 points per USD1 spent on dining and one point per USD1 spent on all other purchases. 100 points equals one LivingSocial Deal Buck, which are credits automatically applied to the cardholder’s next purchase on LivingSocial.com. There is no limit to the number of points a card member can earn.
As an initial promotion for 2012, cardholders receive an additional 10 Deal Bucks upon making 10 purchases each billing cycle.
