Sage Pay Mobile
The solution, dubbed Sage Pay Mobile, enables merchants to accept card payments with their mobile phone (view press release). The handheld terminal connects to the merchant’s smartphone via Bluetooth and transactions are carried out securely with all data encrypted at source. It is designed to enable small business mobile merchants such as electricians and plumbers to extend credit payments to their customers. They can also integrate Sage Pay Mobile with Sage 50 Accounts Mobile for full end-to-end business flow management on the go. The solution meets the latest PCI compliant standards and is approved with the major UK acquiring banks.
“There are over half a million businesses in the UK who are still unable to accept card payments. Small businesses need to be able to take payments anywhere and at anytime with a reliable card reader,” said Sage Pay CEO, Simon Black.
The product is a collaboration between Sage Pay, payment specialist CreditCall and hardware manufacturer Thyron.
