Payments Services Hub for SEPA
Clear2Pay’s Open Payment Framework (OPF) has been selected by Royal Bank of Scotland as the technology of choice to power its Payments Services Hub supporting EMEA Transaction Services for SEPA (view press release). This includes around 18 international RBS branches as well as respective FI clients and partner banks. The hub will support and service SEPA credit transfer and direct debit processing for UK, Ireland and International Banking clients.
“With the SEPA date nearing at a rapid pace, we expect more banks to embrace industry standard solutions to ensure both a rapid deployment as well as control over the payments services proposition, which sits at the heart of the customer relationship,” explains Clear2Pay’s chairman and CEO Michel Akkermans.
The partnership is a step towards developing future architecture and global payment hub capabilities beyond SEPA.
